Baseball Recap: Fairview Knights vs. Mead Mavericks
If Fairview was riding high fresh off their 16-4 takedown of Skyline on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Knights fell just short of the Mead Mavericks by a score of 8-7 on Thursday. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mavericks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.
Jackson Wier was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. Wier was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Coming up, Fairview will be playing at home against Horizon at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mead, they will venture away from home to face off against Timnath at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
