Softball Recap: Ottoville Takes a Loss

Ottoville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Jefferson Wildcats, falling 21-2. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, the Big Green couldn't push the score so high this time.

Kendall Hohlbein was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double marked the first that she has hit this season.

Ottoville's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Jefferson, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Ottoville will venture away from home to take on Continental at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Big Green's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pirates have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season. As for Jefferson, they will head out to face off against Antwerp at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
