Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Our Lady of Tepeyac). They walked away with a 34-26 win over the Northtown Pumas on Monday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Tigers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Among those leading the charge was Alexandra Jalomo, who posted 16 points. Kaila Santiago was another key player, putting up nine points.

Our Lady of Tepeyac's win ended an 11-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-5. As for Northtown, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Our Lady of Tepeyac will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Josephinum at 5:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025. Northtown will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Chicago Academy at 5:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
