Football Recap: Jayden Petit and Peyton Frontino Secure Win for Neumann

Neumann had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 56 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 20-14 W against the North Miami Beach Chargers.

A big part of Neumann's win came down to the chemistry between Peyton Frontino and his top target Jayden Petit. Frontino threw for 285 yards and three TDs while picking up 11.4 yards per attempt while Petit picked up 185 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Frontino has become a key player for Neumann: the team is 6-1 when he posts at least three passing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.

Neumann didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Luke Tallstrom and Zachery Charlestin. Another thorn in North Miami Beach's side was Junior Joseph, who forced one fumble and made seven total tackles (6.0 for loss).

Neumann's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for North Miami Beach, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Neumann and North Miami Beach will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Celtics see the field they'll take on Southwest Florida Christian at 7:30 p.m. on the 14th. As for North Miami Beach, their break will end when they face Dunedin at 7:30 p.m. on the 13th.
