Basketball Recap: Scottsdale Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Scottsdale Christian Academy fought the good fight in their overtime game against Northwest Christian on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Northwest Christian Crusaders by a score of 56-54. The Eagles were not able to make up for their defeat to the Crusaders from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Despite the loss, Scottsdale Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jackson Harrison posted 14 points. Harrison is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Cash Gorder was another key player, going 5-for-10 en route to 13 points and eight boards.

Scottsdale Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 16-10. As for Northwest Christian, the win got them back to even at 12-12.

Scottsdale Christian Academy has already played their next match, a 45-43 victory against Phoenix Christian on the 6th. As for Northwest Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 66-51 loss against San Tan Foothills on the 6th.
