Baseball Game Preview: Liberty Panthers vs. Hargrave Falcons

For the second straight game, Liberty will face off against Hargrave. The Panthers are taking a road trip to challenge the Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Liberty is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games.

Liberty's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-0 win over Hargrave.

Not much got past Logan Ross, who gave up just three hits to keep Hargrave off the board. Ross has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Liberty's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Frankie Marez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI. That's the most RBI Marez has posted since back in March.

Liberty pushed their record up to 13-8-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Hargrave, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-7-2.
