Softball Recap: Friday's Loss Ends Belvidere's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Belvidere unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jefferson J-Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the J-Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-9 back in April.

Belvidere's loss dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Jefferson, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-12 record this season.

Belvidere will challenge Belvidere North at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Blue Thunder will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something the Bucs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Jefferson, they will square off against Boylan Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Titans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.57 runs per game on average), something the J-Hawks will no doubt try to take advantage of.
