Basketball Recap: Andrew Takes a Loss

Andrew lost against Lincoln-Way East two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Andrew Thunderbolts fell 53-45 to the Lincoln-Way East Griffins. While losing is never fun, the Thunderbolts can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 202nd, while the Griffins are ranked 71st).

Andrew's loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Lincoln-Way East, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 14-8.

Andrew will challenge Lincoln-Way West at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lincoln-Way East, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 56-38 win against Neuqua Valley on the 18th.
