Basketball Recap: Gordonsville Takes a Loss

Gordonsville has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They lost to the Cumberland County Jets on the road by a 57-42 margin on Monday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Tigers came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 156th, while the Jets are ranked 362nd).

Gordonsville's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3-1. As for Cumberland County, the victory snapped their losing streak at 16 games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-11 record.

Gordonsville and West will round out the year against one another at at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cumberland County, they will be taking part in a tournament against North Bullitt on Thursday.
