Basketball Recap: Grayson County Takes a Loss

Grayson County came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were dealt an 88-46 loss at the hands of the George Wythe Maroons. The Blue Devils were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-25.

Grayson County's loss came despite strong showings from Maverik Goad and Makray Goad. Maverik posted 17 points and seven rebounds, while Makray earned 12 points. The match was Maverik's third in a row with at least 17 points.

Grayson County has traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points over those games.
