Softball Recap: Trenton Has No Trouble Against Grosse Ile

Trenton won the last time they faced Grosse Ile and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Trojans blew past the Red Devils 12-2. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six runs or more this season.

Hannah Feijoo made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Trenton got a big performance out of Olivia Soens, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and one double. Maggie Krohn was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double.

Trenton is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-12 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Grosse Ile, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-19.

Coming up, Trenton will welcome Bedford at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Grosse Ile does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
