Baseball Recap: Lanier Takes a Loss

Lanier was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Edison Golden Bears, falling 21-0. Considering the last time the Voks couldn't score was back in February, the team can't take the result too hard.

Lanier's loss dropped their record down to 1-8-1. As for Edison, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lanier will take on rival Seguin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Edison is set to face off against their familiar foe Jefferson at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
