The Seton Conquistadors will square off against the Fairfax HomeSchool Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
After dropping their season opener at home, Fairfax HomeSchool is headed out to face a Conquistadors team ready to give their home crowd a win. Seton fell 14-11 to Trinity Christian on Tuesday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

Olivia Chau put in work while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and 12 unearned) runs off six hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Katie Bauer was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Christina Witter, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Fairfax HomeSchool put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Quantico 24-4. Fans of the Hawks have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.
Like Seton, Fairfax HomeSchool also got a great game from a two-way player: Madison Shaw. Throwing, Shaw tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Meanwhile, Lydia Kim pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. At the plate, Shaw scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances, while Kim went 4-for-5 with two triples, five RBI, and three runs. That stolen base was Shaw's first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on London Frye, who scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in three of her six plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Mosher, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
Fairfax HomeSchool was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .321 or higher in seven consecutive contests dating back to last season.
Everything went Seton's way against Fairfax HomeSchool in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Seton made off with an 11-1 win. Will Seton repeat their success, or does Fairfax HomeSchool has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
