Basketball Game Preview: Templeton Eagles vs. Kern Valley Broncs

The Templeton Eagles just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Kern Valley Broncs at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Monday, Templeton didn't have too much trouble with Rio Hondo Prep as they won 69-55. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Eagles' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 321st, while the Kares are ranked 709th).

Meanwhile, Kern Valley waltzed into their contest last Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They blew past the Huskies 57-31. While the Broncs didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Kern Valley's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Templeton, their victory bumped their record up to 12-5.

Everything came up roses for Templeton against Kern Valley in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 55-28 win. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Broncs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
