Basketball Recap: Lighthouse Christian Academy Piles Up the Points Against Columbus Christian

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lighthouse Christian Academy). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Columbus Christian Crusaders 77-34. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 43 points or more this season.

Lighthouse Christian Academy had a senior duo take command as Brock Banks went 9 for 19 on his way to 29 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals and Jared Mcadams almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine boards. The contest was Banks' 16th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Jones, who posted seven points and ten rebounds.

Lighthouse Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Lighthouse Christian Academy's victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-5. As for Columbus Christian, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Lighthouse Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-46 loss against Shoals on the 4th. As for Columbus Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 60-30 win against Cannelton on the 4th.
