Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Carolina International). They blew past the Sugar Creek Charter Wildcats, posting an 81-47 win. The victory was nothing new for the Comets as they're now sitting on four straight.

Carolina International's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Landon Griffin led the charge by putting up 24 points along with five assists and five steals. Those 24 points gave Griffin a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Josiah Bridges, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds.

Griffin wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Carolina International was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sugar Creek Charter only racked up five assists.

Sugar Creek Charter's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aidan Gatewood, who went 5 of 8 en route to 13 points and six boards. Jerry Kuttas was another key player, earning seven points and seven rebounds.

Carolina International's win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-5. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points per game. As for Sugar Creek Charter, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carolina International won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Queen's Grant at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
