Brock Cushing put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in April on Saturday. He struck out six batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

Coming up, Cushing and Grand Island will challenge Columbus at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Sadly, Cushing's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Islanders' three-game streak of wins on the road.
