Basketball Recap: Richmond-Burton Takes a Loss

Richmond-Burton lost against Johnsburg back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Richmond-Burton Rockets lost 52-27 to the Johnsburg Skyhawks. While losing is never fun, the Rockets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 546th, while the Skyhawks are ranked 260th).

Richmond-Burton has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost 17 of their last 20 matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-20 record this season. As for Johnsburg, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-11 record this season.

Looking ahead, Richmond-Burton will head out to face off against Plano at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Johnsburg, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Harvard at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
