Prairie View has gone 8-2 against Osawatomie recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Buffalos are taking a road trip to take on the Trojans at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Prairie View has three straight victories, Osawatomie has eight straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Prairie View had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 20-run drubbing they dealt Archie on Thursday. The Buffalos put the hurt on the Whirlwinds with a sharp 20-0 win. The game marked the Buffalos' most dominant victory of the season so far.
Bella Stolle and Amy Andersen made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Stolle pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Andersen tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Stolle has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. At the plate, Stolle went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI, while Andersen went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three hits gave Andersen a new career-high.

In other batting news, Prairie View got a massive performance out of Adyson Rhynerson, who went 2-for-5 with five RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those five RBI gave Rhynerson a new career-high. Kadance Shelton was another key player, going 3-for-4 with four runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Prairie View always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .585. They are 3-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Osawatomie fell victim to Burlington and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 15-0 to the Wildcats, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.
Osawatomie's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Prairie View, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Osawatomie's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Prairie View has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .494. It's a different story for Osawatomie, though, as they've only averaged .334. Will they be able to contain Prairie View's hitters?
Prairie View took their win against Osawatomie in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 13-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Buffalos since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
