Volleyball Recap: Palm Desert's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

Palm Desert was the 2-1 winner over Sultana when they last played one another on Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Aztecs fell just short of the Sultans by a score of 1-0 on Saturday. The loss put an end to the Aztecs' undefeated start to the season.

Sultana was led to victory by Brooklyn Kelly and Leila Pele. Kelly had five digs and three aces, while Pele had 11 assists and six digs. What's more, Kelly posted three assists, the most she's had since back in October of 2024.

Having lost for the first time this season, Palm Desert fell to 3-1. As for Sultana, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Palm Desert wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Arrowhead Christian on the 13th. As for Sultana, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-0 victory against Rancho Christian on the 9th.
