It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Covenant Academy had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 56-39 win over the David Emanuel Academy Eagles. This was a revenge game for the Rams: when they faced off against the Eagles two weeks ago, they had to take a 56-54 loss.

Covenant Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ben McGhee, who went 10-for-19 on his way to 24 points and five steals. What's more, McGhee also posted a 57% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's posted since back in December of 2024. Blake Bartow was another key player, going 7-for-12 to rack up 18 points.

Despite the loss, David Emanuel Academy still got an impressive performance from Ethan Fields, who posted 22 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Clayton Hood, who had six points and five boards.

Covenant Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-12 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points over those games.
