Basketball Recap: Kalamazoo HomeSchool Takes a Loss

If Kalamazoo HomeSchool was feeling good fresh off their 66-38 takedown of Jackson HomeSchool on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Kalamazoo HomeSchool Cougars took a 66-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mid-Michigan HomeSchoolers Mustangs. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2023.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mid-Michigan HomeSchoolers to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brendan Redmond, who almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine boards. Redmond is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last three games he's played. Aidan Porter was another key player, going 7 for 13 en route to 23 points.

Kalamazoo HomeSchool's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Mid-Michigan HomeSchoolers, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a massive bump to their 11-7 record this season.
