Softball Game Preview: West Chicago Wildcats vs. Glenbard South Raiders

The West Chicago Wildcats will head out to face off against the Glenbard South Raiders at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

West Chicago is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 15 runs last Monday, they were much more limited against Riverside-Brookfield last Tuesday. They lost 10-2 to the Bulldogs.

Tessa Banasiak made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run. Finn Gallagher also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Glenbard South, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over Elmwood Park on Tuesday.

Glenbard South's win bumped their record up to 8-13. As for West Chicago, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-8.

West Chicago took their victory against Glenbard South when the teams last played last Monday by a conclusive 15-6 score. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Raiders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
