Baseball Recap: West Branch Comes Up Short

West Branch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks, falling 9-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bears of the 8-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

West Branch's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Mid-Prairie, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Golden Hawks beat West Branch by a score of 19-1 later that day.
