Baseball Game Preview: Fort LeBoeuf Bison vs. McDowell Trojans

Fort LeBoeuf is 1-9 against McDowell since May of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Bison will welcome the Trojans at 4:00 p.m.

Fort LeBoeuf is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 13 runs on Monday, they were much more limited against Cathedral Prep on Wednesday. They came up short against the Ramblers, falling 11-1.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for McDowell, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They put the hurt on Warren with a sharp 12-2 win on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won nine matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Colton Orlando was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Thomas Nies, who went 1-for-4 with one home run.

McDowell always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Warren only posted an OBP of .375.

McDowell pushed their record up to 12-5 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Fort LeBoeuf, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.
