Regis Jesuit faced Legend in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Raiders lost to the Titans on the road by a 42-28 margin. The Raiders were up 28-14 in the second quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

When it comes to explaining why Regis Jesuit lost, don't look at Luke Rubley. Despite the final result, he threw for 284 yards and four touchdowns. The Raiders are 3-1 when Rubley posts three or more passing touchdowns, but 1-5 otherwise. Colt Jones was in the mix too, providing Regis Jesuit with two scores.

It was another big night for Ryken Banks, who rushed for 181 yards and three TDs while picking up 8.6 yards per carry, and also picked up 100 receiving yards for Legend. Those 181 rushing yards gave Banks a new career-high.

Regis Jesuit has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 30.3 points over those games. As for Legend, their record is now 9-1.

Looking ahead, Regis Jesuit will venture away from home to challenge Erie at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Legend does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
