Baseball Game Preview: Bucktail Bucks vs. Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy WolfPack

The Bucktail Bucks will head out on the road to square off against the Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy WolfPack at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bucktail has given up an average of 12.7 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Monday just wasn't the day for Bucktail's offense. They lost 15-0 to Montgomery on Monday. The Bucks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy). They put the hurt on East Juniata with a sharp 16-6 victory on Monday. The win continues a trend for the WolfPack in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won three in a row.

Caleb Foytack made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2025. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five runs, and two stolen bases. He is becoming a predictor of Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-2 (and 4-6 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, CJ Grove was incredible, going 4-for-5 with four runs, two stolen bases, and four RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. Haden Lingle was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

The victory got Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy back to even at 8-8. As for Bucktail, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.
