Baseball Game Preview: Pinecrest Patriots vs. Union Pines Vikings

For the second straight game, Pinecrest will face off against Union Pines. The Patriots are taking a road trip to face off against the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pinecrest's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Union Pines' hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Wednesday, Pinecrest earned a 4-1 win over Union Pines. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Bohdi Robertson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Mitch Baek was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

Union Pines' defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Pinecrest, their win bumped their record up to 15-7.
