Football Recap: Carter Schenk's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Central over Central Cambria + How To Watch

Central was the 41-10 winner over Central Cambria when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Dragons fell 32-22 to the Red Devils on Friday.

Several Dragons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Carter Schenk, who picked up 51 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also punched in one rushing score.

Ryan Chappell was his usual excellent self, rushing for 169 yards and three scores for Central Cambria. Chappell also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making eight total tackles and defending one pass.

Central has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Central Cambria, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-5 record.

Central has already played their next game, a 26-25 victory against Bald Eagle Area on the 17th. As for Central Cambria, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 35-28 win against Somerset on the 17th.
