Softball Recap: Waltrip Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Waltrip couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 3-1 to the Randle Lions, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on Thursday.

Waltrip saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gizelle Garcia, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Waltrip's defeat dropped their record down to 18-2. As for Randle, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-12 record this season.

As of now, neither Waltrip nor Randle have any future games scheduled.
