Softball Recap: Abbott Beats Dawson for Their Third Straight Victory

Abbott entered their tilt with Dawson on Monday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Dawson Bulldogs with a sharp 10-0 win. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by six runs or more this season.

Rylee Wise was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. Sarah Alexander was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI and one triple.

Abbott always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Dawson only posted an OBP of .350.

Abbott's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8.8 runs. As for Dawson, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Abbott will face off against Keene at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Abbott is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season. We've got a battle between Bulldogs coming up.
