Preview: Panguitch Bobcats vs. Grantsville Cowboys
The Panguitch Bobcats and the Grantsville Cowboys will round out the year against one another at TBD on Wednesday at. Panguitch is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
Panguitch scored the most points they've had all season to find success last Saturday. They breezed by Grand County at home to the tune of 84-57. Panguitch might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won four matchups by 27 points or more this season.
Panguitch's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Daxton Miller, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 assists. That's the first time this season that Miller scored 15 or more points. Cache Eyre was another key contributor, scoring 22 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Grantsville's 19-7 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. Their rough 63-40 defeat to Provo last Friday might stick with them for a while. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Grantsville has scored all season.
Grantsville's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Bryson Roberts, who scored 14 points along with four steals, and Jaxon Kell who scored six points along with three blocks. That's the first time this season that Kell posted two or more blocks. Another player making a difference was Jack Hendrix, who scored six points.
Panguitch's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Grantsville, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
