Baseball Recap: St. Paul Buckaroos vs. Clatskanie Tigers
After flying high against Portland Christian last Wednesday, St. Paul came back down to earth. The St. Paul Buckaroos fell 8-4 to the Clatskanie Tigers on Thursday. St. Paul was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Clatskanie apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April.
For Clatskanie's part, Ben Blackwood was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing five bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Cash Doney, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
St. Paul's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-4. As for Clatskanie, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 18-5.
As of now, neither St. Paul nor Clatskanie have any future games scheduled.
