Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Covenant Academy). They strolled past the St. Mary's Academy Bobcats with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 46-28. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Covenant Academy also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2021.
It was another big night for Asa Wood, who rushed for 242 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making two total tackles and defending two passes. Westin Robinson was another key back, rushing for 89 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
He was just one part of a punishing run game: Covenant Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 365 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

As for St. Mary's Academy, they will challenge John Hancock Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for St. Mary's Academy and six for John Hancock Academy.
