Basketball Recap: Trinity Extends Winning Streak to Two

Trinity won the last time they faced James Buchanan, and Owen Schlager did his part to make sure it happened again. The Trinity Shamrocks blew past the James Buchanan Rockets, posting a 74-44 win thanks in part to Schlager, who went 14 for 16 en route to 33 points in addition to eight boards and four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Trinity's points.

Nike Craig was another key player, going 6 of 9 on his way to 12 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

The victory made it two in a row for Trinity and bumps their season record up to 14-4. As for James Buchanan, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-12.

Trinity will take on Boiling Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Boiling Springs is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.3 points per game this season. James Buchanan has already played their next match (against Peddie), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
