Recap: Organ Mountain Knights vs. Valencia Jaguars
The Organ Mountain Knights came tearing into Thursday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 72-39 win over Valencia at home. Organ Mountain's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Organ Mountain's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brandon Kehres, who scored 21 points. Kehres also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. YehNhi Wilson was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five steals and three blocks.
Despite the loss, Valencia still got an impressive performance from Damian Estrada, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds. Estrada scored a full 33.3% of Valencia's points, the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carin Bustillos, who scored six points.
Organ Mountain's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1.
