Basketball Recap: Arroyo Valley Comes Up Short

Arroyo Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 54-39 to the Vista del Lago Ravens. If the Hawks were looking for revenge after losing 53-37 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Vista del Lago's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ja'Marion Jackson, who posted 13 points in addition to seven assists and five boards. Those seven assists gave Jackson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aiden Childs, who put up 12 points in addition to seven rebounds and three blocks.

Arroyo Valley's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Vista del Lago, they moved to 4-10 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Arroyo Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 53-38 victory against Pacific on the 30th. As for Vista del Lago, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 57-54 defeat against San Gorgonio on the 30th.
