Softball Recap: Laurens Wins Going Away Against J.L. Mann

Laurens made up a huge gap compared to their last game against J.L. Mann, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Laurens was the clear victor by a 13-7 margin over J.L. Mann on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won five matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Carly Edwards was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing six bases while going 2-for-4. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Addison Trevino, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Laurens was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .421. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .345 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Laurens now has a winning record of 6-5. As for J.L. Mann, their defeat was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-8.

Looking ahead, Laurens will host Fountain Inn at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for J.L. Mann, they will take on Hillcrest at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. J.L. Mann is facing Hillcrest at the right time seeing as Hillcrest is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
