Russellville has gone 7-1 against Mount St. Mary Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Cyclones will be playing in front of their home fans against the Belles at 5:00 p.m.

Russellville fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Farmington on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 10-7 to the Cardinals. The Cyclones haven't had much luck with the Cardinals recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Aribella Garcia was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs. Another player making a difference was Ava Brock, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI and two doubles.

Meanwhile, Mount St. Mary Academy never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They blew past Little Rock Christian Academy 10-0. The result was nothing new for the Belles, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Mount St. Mary Academy and bumps their season record up to 6-13. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Russellville, they now have a losing record of 9-10.

Everything went Russellville's way against Mount St. Mary Academy in their previous meeting back in March of 2023, as Russellville made off with a 26-0 victory. Do the Cyclones have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Belles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
