The home team had won the previous four meetings between James Wood and Warren County, and James Wood kept the tradition alive. The Colonels blew past the Wildcats 14-4 on Friday. Considering the Colonels have won five matches by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

James Wood's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Warren County, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.
