After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Westminster Catawba Christian, Concord Academy was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Gaston Christian 3-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in August.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Concord Academy got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 24-26, 25-21, 21-25, 15-8.

Harmony Blankenship paced Concord Academy's offense, picking up 22 kills. Blankenship got some help from Addison Jones and her 23 assists. Emma Moose controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Concord Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Gaston Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.

Concord Academy has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Ambassador Christian School on the 18th. As for Gaston Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Hickory Grove Christian on the 18th.
