The Shepherd Pirates''s three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 40-14 margin over Coldspring-Oakhurst. The score was close at the half, but Shepherd pulled away in the second half with 24 points.
Shepherd's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Preston Stephens, who rushed for 170 yards and three touchdowns. Landen Dellinger also helped out as he racked up 124 rushing yards.
Shepherd's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Coldspring-Oakhurst, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5.
Shepherd will be playing at home against Huntington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Coldspring-Oakhurst does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
