Preview: GEO Next Generation Tigers vs. Live Oak Eagles
The GEO Next Generation Tigers just played last night, but they'll still head out to face the Live Oak Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on January 23rd. GEO Next Generation is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road.
On Monday, GEO Next Generation slipped by Capitol 30-29.
GEO Next Generation's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Khloe Caines, who scored a point along with 17 rebounds and six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kimberly Jack, who scored eight points along with 12 rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Live Oak can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent game on Thursday. Everything went their way against Ascension Catholic as Live Oak made off with a 56-31 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Live Oak has posted since November 16, 2023.
GEO Next Generation's win bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Live Oak, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.
GEO Next Generation was taken down by Live Oak 55-26 in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Can GEO Next Generation avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
