Soccer Game Preview: Destiny Christian Academy vs. Dixon

Destiny Christian Academy is 0-6 against Dixon since January of 2017 but things could change on Wednesday. The Destiny Christian Academy Lions will be playing at home against the Dixon Rams at 6:00 p.m.

Monday just wasn't the day for Destiny Christian Academy's offense. They came up short against Rio Linda on Monday, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1100th, while the Knights are ranked 384th).

Meanwhile, Dixon entered their tilt with Casa Roble on Monday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Their defense stepped up to hand the Rams a 9-0 shutout. Considering Dixon has won seven matchups by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Casa Roble from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Cooper Ngo led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for four goals all by himself.

Dixon's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3-1. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three contests. As for Destiny Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-10-2.
