Volleyball Recap: La Quinta Blackhawks vs. Southwest EC Eagles
La Quinta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Southwest EC Eagles. While the Blackhawks didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles 25-18 in the first set.
La Quinta actually scored more points across those five sets (100-96), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-19, 13-25, 25-20, 15-11.
La Quinta's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Southwest EC, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Coming up, La Quinta will be playing in front of their home fans against Indio at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Southwest EC, they will be taking part in a tournament against Mt. Carmel at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
