Baseball Recap: Bishop Ready Takes a Loss

Bishop Ready was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 10-4 to the Columbus Academy Vikings. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Silver Knights of the 11-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Tanner Reeder was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.

Bishop Ready's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Columbus Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

While Bishop Ready had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
