Football Recap: Mountain Crest Takes Down Uintah in a Playoff Battle

It's playoff time, and Mountain Crest had no trouble coming through when it counted. They claimed a resounding 54-7 win over the Uintah Utes. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won seven games by 35 points or more so far this season.

The victory (which was Mountain Crest's fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.4 points on average over those games. As for Uintah, they dropped their record down to 1-10 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Mountain Crest will take on Stansbury at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs' defense better be ready for this one: the Stallions have averaged an impressive 31.9 points per game this season. Uintah does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
