Baseball Recap: Cory-Rawson Falls to Columbus Grove in First Game of Season

Cory-Rawson had to start their season on the road on Saturday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 13-3 to the Columbus Grove Bulldogs. The Fighting Hornets have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Hank Walters made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-2. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.

Columbus Grove has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cory-Rawson will venture away from home to take on Ada at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Columbus Grove, they will head out to face off against Arlington at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
