Volleyball Recap: Poudre Victorious

Poudre was handed a three-set defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Saturday. They won by a set and slipped past the Bear Creek Bears 2-1. The win was some much needed relief for the Impalas as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

If you add up the scores from across all three sets (58-56) Poudre actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 14-25, 17-15.

Poudre's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Bear Creek, their loss was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-6.

Coincidentally, Poudre and Bear Creek will both be playing Northfield the next time they take the court. The Bears will head out to face the Nighthawks at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Impalas will play them later in the day, at 10:00 a.m.
