Preview: Forsyth Central vs. Sequoyah
The Forsyth Central Bulldogs will head out on the road to challenge the Sequoyah Chiefs at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Forsyth Central, yet to win a game, are hoping to taste some of the success that has characterized Sequoyah's (thus far) undefeated season.
Friday just wasn't the day for Forsyth Central's offense. Their rough 4-0 loss to Etowah on Friday might stick with them for a while.
Meanwhile, Sequoyah's game on Friday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against North Cobb by a score of 3-1.
Sequoyah hit North Cobb with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Tara Zaccagnino,
ava Frey, and
Madison Rajecki.
Forsyth Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Sequoyah, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.
Everything went Forsyth Central's way against Sequoyah in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 as Forsyth Central made off with a 6-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Forsyth Central since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
